01

Trading fees apply to execution

Entry and exit can both generate trading fees. Actual rates depend on product and account tier, so verify the current official fee schedule rather than relying on an old rate.

02

Funding can become a holding cost

Perpetual contracts can exchange funding payments between long and short positions at defined intervals. Depending on the rate and your side, funding can be a cost or a credit.

03

Include costs in strategy testing

Backtests should include realistic commissions and slippage. If the expected edge disappears after costs, the strategy is not ready for live trading.

Crypto assets and derivatives can cause substantial losses. This site is educational and does not provide investment advice.
