01

Read the trading pair correctly

In BTC/USDT, BTC is the traded asset and USDT is the quote currency. Buying uses USDT to acquire BTC; selling converts BTC back into USDT.

02

Market order versus limit order

A market order executes immediately against available liquidity and can experience slippage when liquidity is thin or order size is large. A limit order specifies the price you are willing to accept and waits for the market to reach it.

03

Build a small-order habit

Use small orders while learning. Check the pair, quantity, estimated fee and final filled price after each order until the process becomes familiar.
